Gryphon
Class A amplification without compromise. Four decades of handcrafted Danish engineering at the summit of the art.
Danish Mastery.
Class A Conviction.
"There is only one way to build an amplifier: without compromise. Everything else is a trade-off we are not willing to make."
Founded in 1985 by Flemming E. Rasmussen in the small Danish town of Ry, Gryphon Audio Designs has spent four decades pursuing a single principle: that the amplifier must not exist. It must pass the music through without editorial comment, without colour, without loss.
Every Gryphon amplifier operates in Class A — a circuit topology that keeps the output transistors conducting at all times, eliminating the crossover distortion that plagues Class AB designs at the cost of enormous heat and weight. This is the sound of music reproduced with zero compromise on the physics. It is also why a Gryphon amplifier can weigh over 200 kg per pair.
The cabinets are precision-milled from aircraft-grade aluminium in Denmark. The transformers are bespoke, wound to specification. The capacitor banks are measured in Farads, not microfarads. Every component is chosen as if the entire system depended on it — because it does.

Apex
Mono
The Apex is Gryphon's definitive statement — a Class A monoblock amplifier of such capability that its specifications exist outside the normal language of high-fidelity electronics. 210 watts per channel into 8 ohms in pure Class A, rising to 1,490 watts into 1 ohm.
The Apex is available as a stereo chassis or as dedicated monoblocks. Installation requires advance planning for floor loading and electrical supply. Audition strictly by private appointment at our Experience Centre.

Sculpted
Current
Below the Apex, two extraordinary amplifiers that define the reference Class A standard at their respective price points — the storied Mephisto and the newly released Antileon Revelation.

The Control Centre
Three preamplifiers, each a command hub for a reference system. From the modular Helios to the bespoke Commander, all designed with zero-feedback circuit philosophy and Swiss-precision mechanical execution.

One Box.
No Limits.
The Diablo series proves that integration need not mean compromise. The Diablo 333 — The Absolute Sound's 2025 Solid State Integrated of the Year — delivers 333 watts per channel and the full Gryphon Class A philosophy in a single, upgradeable chassis.

A Complete
Gryphon System
